Hold on to your slow cooker! I have a chili recipe that only requires 5 ingredients and 15 minutes of prep time. You can even dump everything in the pot and it will still come out good. Dump it in the morning and once you get home from work you’ll have dinner plated in no time. You can serve this with homestyle biscuits, cornbread or buttered crusty bread.
This Chili is a wholesome bowl of comfort especially on a cold winter day.

The Best Way to Cook Chili:
Thsi is the easiest chili because you can set it and forget it. The low and slow cooking process melds the flavors into every bite and the beef becomes so tender, juicy, and irresistible. You can slow cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high heat for 3-4 hours.
Can You Freeze Chili?
Um, YES!!! Chili freezes and reheats beautifully. We freeze it in single sized portions for lunches or in freezer bags for a quick and easy weeknight meal.
Defrost in the fridge overnight and heat in a saucepan or the microwave to serve.
Variations
Spice Level This chili is just right for my kids but you can increase or reduce the spice level to your liking. For extra heat, add some red pepper flakes or few shakes of hot sauce.
Swap the Beans – You can use kidney beans or any other beans. I use kidney when I can’t find the chili beans and it doesn’t change the flavor at all.
Ground Beef Any ground meat will work in this recipe. Ground turkey may require a little bit of chili seasoning. If your meat has a lot of fat, it may make it more stew like. You can brown your meat first and then drain before adding to the slow cooker or you can make a corn starch slurry and add in for thickness.
Add Vegetables You can add corn and carrots to make a more hearty chili.
Swap the Spices Spice up your chili any way you’d like. To make a tex-mex chili, toss in a packet of taco seasoning.
Goes Great With:
This Chili goes great with Jalapeño Fritos and cheddar corn bread. Also goes greatt with buttered crusty bread or buttermilk biscuits.
