Lately Teigan has been into dinosaurs so I decided to make some dinosaur valentines for her to give to friends. They came out so cute that I decided to share them with my readers. These free printable Dinosaur Valentines for classmates are perfect for your kids to show their friends some love this Valentine’s Day! What could be more rawr-some than these cute dinosaurs wishing everyone in their class a happy Valentine’s Day? These fun and friendly valentines are sure to bring a smile this Valentine’s Day.
Gah, aren’t these just the cutest?! I love that they are all friendly and not lovey-dovey…I mean seriously my daughter is THREE. She doesn’t need to be sending notes to anyone that she thinks they are cute, stuck on them or only has eyes for them. Nope, not on my watch! I know it may be innocent but it still feels wrong. I want her to love on her friends – but in a healthy way.

Free Printable Dinosaur Valentines
I’m totally loving these Valentines because they are my daughter’s personality. These Rawr-some Dinosaur Valentine’s Day cards come in 4 different designs. All you have to do is download, print, personalize and give away.
4 Dinosaur Designs
I designed these printable Valentine’s Day cards so you can have 1 of each design on 1 sheet. If you want to do them double sided you can do that too. On the back of each card I created a space for your child to write their classmate’s name and also their own name. My son loves writing his name on his valentine cards and it is a fun way to practice name writing and penmanship.
What you Need for this Project
- Printer
- Cardstock
- Paper cutter or scissors
- Pencil, crayon or marker (for filling in the to and from section on back of card)
Don’t Have a Printer? If you don’t have a printer at home you can print it out at an office supply store like Staples. Just make sure to request your print job to be printed on cardstock and not regular paper. Cardstock is a more sturdier than regular paper which can be a little flimsy. They are also capable of printing it double-sided and cutting them for you. All you would have to do is have your child write names on them.
At Home Printing – After the cards have been printed, cut cards out. I created a line between cards for easy straight line cutting if your child wants to cut them out themselves. Once they are printed kids can write names on them.
How to Customize these Dinosaur Valentine’s Day Cards
Aside from cute cards Valentine’s Day is all about the treats. Two store bought non-candy ideas are dinosaur crazy straws and dinosaur eggs that hatch from Amazon.
Dinosaur Crazy Straws – My kids love drinking from crazy straws and watching their drink go around and arounf before reaching their mouths.
Dinosaur Eggs that Hatch – The second idea of dinosaur eggs that hatch come from my son and youngest daughter’s facination with toys that expand in water. Grayson and Teigan get a kick watching a small toy turn massive. The lastest thing Grayson brought home was a lizard about 2-inches long. After a couple days the lizard was about a foot long. These dinosaur eggs that hatch are similar – just add water and watch the egg grow and hatch a baby dinosaur. Definitely cooler than candy.
Dinosaur Crayons – This one is a two-for-one. It is a craft that you can do with your kids as well as a fun treat to give to classmates. It is also a great way to upcycle all those old broken crayons. The finished crayon is a mystery crayon that colors in multi-colors depending what you melt together. You can make them in one single color or a multiple of colors. You can also keep it within a color scheme. The possibilities are endless. You can find how to instructions for dinosaur crayons here
