Some days it is so hard to believe I am worthy. Is it the same for you?
Lately, I’ve been thinking about this statement and wondering why it is so hard for many of us to believe. We perceive worth as something to be attained. The number of followers, likes & comments, the number on our paycheck, or even the number on a scale. But why?
Worthiness Has No Prerequisites
Viola Davis said it best, there are no prerequisites to worthiness. You’re born worthy! Let’s all take a moment to exhale and take in the truth bomb that Viola dropped. We are WORTHY not because of numbers but because we are born worthy. Even on your worse days – you are still worthy. I have watched so many women self sabotage themselves unknowingly and it always comes down to feeling unworthy. I am guilty of this too. I catch myself waiting for the shoe to drop. When good things happen to me I feel uncomfortable and the self sabotaging begins.
Stop Self Sabotaging
Three areas that are negatively impacted most when we feel unworthy are our relationships, work and health. Mama, stop self sabotaging yourself, YOU ARE WORTHY!! Let this statement be your mantra even in the dimmest of moments. Look in the mirror and say it until you believe it. Even if your voice shakes – say it. Even if it’s more of a whisper than a roar – we gotta start somewhere, start there. These are the mantras I whisper in those moments:
I am worthy of – LOVE.
I am worthy of – JOY.
I am worthy of – SUCCESS.
I am worthy of – HAPPINESS.
I am worthy of – GRACE.
I AM WORTHY!
And you know what mama? You are too!
Try it…(complete the sentence and share it in the comments because mama I want to cheer you on)
I am worthy of __.
With love from Catt ♥️
