Valentine’s day is around the corner and although it may look and feel different this year, there are still ways to make Valentine’s day special for your significant other.
Table of Contents
Couples That Cook Together, Stay Together
If food is the way to your significant other’s heart then try a virtual cooking class or host your own cooking show by cooking dinner together and turning your phone into a video camera. Want to heat things up? Try a friendly competitive cook-off where you both make a dish, then fill out score cards to determine whose skills are superior. Tip: Have your kids or friends pick out items for a mystery bag of ingredients to cook with.
Valentine’s Day Skate Date
There is something really romantic about ice skating as a couple. Think of all those Hallmark Christmas movies where the couple is holding hands trying to glide on the ice. One falls and the other laughs but with loving eyes sees a little vulnerabilty and something just clicks…awwww, right?! Tip: Complete your Valentine’s day date with hot cocoa and heartfelt treats.
P.S I Love You
It’s February and love is in the air but nothing beats a handcrafted love letter. Write each other a love letter and read it aloud to each other. You can even exchange love letters and frame them to hang in a room in your home. Tip: State the reason why you are writing the love letter, what you love about your partner, mention a couple favorite memories with your partner and end the letter by telling your significant other the impact they have on your life. Don’t forget to close the letter with your signature.
Indoor Picnic
Make a charcuterie board complete with bread, cheese and delicious meats or create an asian inspired sushi board. Pair with your favorite wine and let the Netflix Valentine’s Day movie night begin or just enjoy each other’s company. Valentine’s Day Photo Book Activity
Grab your sweetie and compile all your favorite photos for a Valentine’s Day photo book activity. You’ll have fun reminiscing on your favorite memories. Tip: When the book arrives open it together for a sweet surprise of the finished product. Shutterfly has a great variety of photo books and right now you can get a 20 page hardcover for under $30.
